Training Philosophy

It starts with a desire to become better, followed by a commitment to hard work, and dedication to growth and improvement.

Optimum Basketball was founded to create a place for players of any skill level to excel and learn “The Optimum Way.”

Our core Philosophy is simple. Good is never good enough. Excellence is the outcome we desire. We encourage players to dig deep, challenge their limits, and see what they can accomplish. We train players to maximize their potential and give their best always. Whether our players are Professionals or just starting out, we are here to help them improve through proven drills, focused attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.

We believe that every player has the opportunity to reach their full potential. It is up to them to realize this potential. Through daily repetition and building the correct habits and routines, our players see major improvements both on and off the court. Here at Optimum Basketball, the mindset of our athletes is focused on and drills and coaching techniques are developed in order to promote mental toughness.

We take what we do seriously, but we have fun doing it. Through an understanding of players and their needs and wants, we design workouts and training regimens to ensure success. Basketball is unique because while it is a team sport, each individual on the team must be skilled for the team to win. Skill development and improvement doesn’t happen overnight, but taking your game to the next level is an investment of time and energy. When athletes come through our doors, we know they have specific goals, and want to improve dramatically. They have heard coaches tell them what they are bad at, what they are good at, and we will help those players work on their weaknesses and improve upon their strengths.

Basketball is not only about the sport, but also about the life lessons that you learn from it. Some of the lessons we have taken from basketball are; perseverance, dedication, leadership, discipline, teamwork, goal setting, and the list goes on. These are lessons that we love to pass down to younger generations and we feel play a big role in the basketball player as a whole and also their career outside of basketball.
