AS A TRAINER

Brandon has the ability to take any player, whether beginner or professional, to the next level. He focuses on the players strengths and encourages them to become masters at what they already do well. Then, through a meticulous study of their game, body mechanics, and mindset, he puts together a training regimen that will also improve players weaknesses. Brandon understands that dedication and determination are two of the major ingredients for success as a basketball player. As he trains, he encourages players to develop the mindset necessary to perform at a high level. The drills and workouts are designed to challenge players limits, get them out of their comfort zone, and instill the confidence necessary to dominate. Being a 6’7″ point guard, shooting guard, and small forward, Brandon brings a unique perspective to how he trains. Size does not determine position, skill level does. All aspects of your game will improve when training with Brandon. He is a knock down shooter, great ball handler, team player and has played at every level. Not only will your game improve dramatically on the individual level, but you will also see how you can integrate what you learn into a team setting.

AS A PLAYER

Brandon began playing basketball in the 5th grade. A love and passion for the game began to develop as he watched Michael Jordan, his favorite player, dominate in the NBA. By 9th grade, he had made varsity and never looked back. A 4-year varsity starter, Brandon averaged over 22 points per game in his sophomore year, and became an All Conference Selection.

His family moved to North Carolina where he began his junior year at an entirely different school and conference. He played against perennial powerhouses such as Oak Hill Academy, and this is where he developed the grit and determination to play his best basketball. He then transferred to Wake Forest Rolesville High School, located in Wake Forest, NC. He led his team to conference tournament finals and finished his senior year averaging just over 15pts and 8 rebounds per game in the Cap 6 conference.

After graduating, Brandon moved to California to continue his basketball career. He took his talents to Cuesta College and became a 2-year starter. He led his team to first place in the conference and a state tournament appearance.  After finishing at Cuesta, he transferred to Menlo College located in Atherton, CA where he was a 2-year starter. He led his team to a conference tournament championship and a national tournament appearance. Brandon led the way for his team, which set many school records, including a 9 game, win streak. The proud recipients of the Champions of Character Award for their academic excellence, community involvement, and winning record.     As a standout college player Brandon took his talents to the next level, and played overseas in Spain. He is also an Alumnus of world renowned Pete Newell’s Big Man Camp, where he played against some of the biggest and best players from around the world. His unique skill set and being a 6’7 guard/small forward make him a difficult matchup for opponents. He takes his skill set and tremendous knowledge with him as he trains.

Brandon is the full package, he’s a friend, nutritionist, coach, entrepreneur, mentor and trainer. He is action driven and possesses a ton of passion for the game. He has had a big impact on my basketball life and personal life that has helped me out beyond what I could have imagined. This impact has helped me become a  Professional Basketball Player who has played many places around the world such as Mexico, Kosovo, Australia, Italy, Tunisia, Singapore, and El Salvador. I have now played basketball on 5 different continents! I am proud to have trained with Brandon and Optimum Basketball, and I look forward to putting in more work this upcoming off-season!
